Tuesday 26th July 2011:  Digicel Tonga offered The Kingdom the first chance to try ‘BULA’,  the newest drink in Tonga at the biggest block party years for the Heilala week on Friday night the 22nd of July.

BULA, including kava, volarian root and pomegrantie was gifted with every Digicel top-up purchased at the Block Party, at several Digicel tents along the road during the event.

Contestants were also picked by Bula ambassador Finau Afeaki aka DJ Hotgirl to compete to win great prizes with Bula and Digicel.

This year marks the 31st Anniversary of the Heilala Festival in the Kingdom which brings together the Tongan people from all over the world including Tongan Beauty contestants from New Zealand, Australia and America. Other countries also represent at the festival like the Japanese Hip Hop Crew to name a few.

There are also competitions to highlight youth and their interest with ‘Tonga’s Got Talent’, ‘Tonga Fashion Night’ and the popular ‘Float Parade’ in the coming days of celebration.

The celebration of the Heilala Festival maintains its long tradition of commemorating His Majesty King George Tupou 5, with festivities bringing together Tongan people from all around the world.
