DIGICEL STAR FILIPO LEMOTO GOES INTERANATIONAL!

 

Tuesday 19th October:  Digicel Stars Tonga winner Filipo Lemoto from has is  performing as the Guest Artist for the Digicel Rising Star’s Final in Trinidad and Tobago.

Since his win, the high-flying 24 year musician has been keeping busy! He his first public concert since the win was at Billfish Restaurant and Bar on Friday 15th. Proceeds from the concert were given to one of his youngest fans - seven-year Sione Patolo - who urgently needs an operation to replace a damaged heart mitral valve. 

Following his Concert, Filipo flew out the next day on an all expenses paid trip to Fiji where he enjoyed a stay at the Hilton Hotel in Denarau Fiji before travelling down to Suva for a US visa application as well as Media interviews which had him featured on the front page of the Fiji Times. Filipo flew back to Tonga and on the same day left on a flight bound for Trinidad and Tobago. He was picked up by Limo and was followed to Fua’amotu Airport by an entourage consisting of excited Fans, Family, Digicel Staff and Media showing their support to Tonga’s new found star. Filipo was greeted in Trinidad by Digicel Sponsorship & Promotions Manager Wendy Alleyne and Staff who saw him off in a Limo as he headed to his hotel.
 

Filipo called in to say that he is finding it hard to take in all the great arrangements, surprises and hospitality that he has been shown and is looking forward to a great time in Trinidad. His itinery includes media interviews, attending scheduled events, dinners, outings, island tours and Rehearsals as he is featured as the guest artist for Digicel Rising Star’s Final Night in Trinidad & Tobago. Filipo will arrive back in Tonga on Thursday 26th October where he also has a growing list of events lined up for him.

Commercial Manager Jack Bourke said “This is just the beginning of Digicel Stars! Next year will involve the entire Pacific and it will be BIGGER AND BETTER! It’s a competition and Tonga you have chosen who you wanted to go through! Lines for registration are opening soon!”
