Thursday 27th May 2010: Digicel (Tonga)’s great success with the Biggest Fishing Competition two months ago has prompted Digicel to launch Tonga’s Biggest Harvesting competition for all its customers.
Just like Tonga’s Biggest Fishing Competition, Tonga’s Biggest Harvesting Competition is a text competition aiming to be more popular with an array of fantastic prizes.
The First Prize for the competition includes a Wheel Barrow filled with harvesting essentials: Weed Eater, Pitch Forks, Garden hose, spades and much more. Other prizes include a Sony Ericsson W200 Mobile, Nokia 2330, Nokia 1661, Nokia 1202, Coral C255 and spot prizes of up to $1000 worth of Free Credit. Competition is open to all Digicel Customers. Simply text the word “Harvest” to the number 204 and start seeing your plantation grow. Yams, Taro, Manioke, Hopa and Banana’s are among the varieties available for a person to harvest. Each text costs 40 seniti. People can harvest their crops as many times as they choose; as every crop counts. The prevailing weather conditions will affect the harvest for the day. A cyclone, for example will eliminate all crops harvested in the last 24 hours. Competition ends 12 midnight on the 30th June 2010 and winners will be notified during 1st – 5th July 2010 and results published on the 6th July 2010.
