EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AT TONGA’S BIGGER BETTER NETWORK
Monday 18th July 2011: Key personnel from Digicel Tonga recently completed a three day training course in “Advanced Communication Skill within the Workforce” in line with company goals to develop talent from within.
This certificate course was facilitated by Tonga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc and coordinated by David Hennon from New Zealand in collaboration with Tonga Business Enterprise Centre (TBEC).
The course, also known as ‘Advancing Business’, was funded by New Zealand Government through New Zealand Aid Program.
The main objective of the course was to further develop staff communication skills in the workplace and further to enhance the skills of those around the attendees at work, increasing effective and collaborative communication.
The attendees found the course ’interactive and professional’ with plenty of practical role-plays and relevant communication skills.
Digicel Tonga’s Human Resources Manager Nailoni Maue commented: “We are continually looking for ways our staff can develop and grow. Our business is communication, and what better way to support that but by enhancing the communication skills of those behind the scenes.”
