You're abroad and you're looking for an easy way to keep in touch with everyone - Digicel gives you a great option. You can use your Digicel mobile to send and receive calls and text messages while traveling outside of Tonga, if you are a Digicel postpaid customer.

How does Roaming Work?

All Digicel Postpaid customers can automatically use their phones while overseas. Dual-band phones will work in most countries except the USA and Canada. You will need to use tri-band and quad-band phones in these countries. We recommend that you contact Customer Care on 123 before you leave Tonga, to verify that your phone will work in whatever country you are traveling to, and to receive more detailed information about Digicel’s roaming policy.

Follow These Easy Steps:

  1. Before departure, find the Network Selection setting in your Digicel mobile phone menu and select ‘’Automatic’’.
  2. Upon arrival, turn on your phone and allow it to select Digicel’s roaming partner in the country you are visiting.

In some instances, your phone will not automatically select the Digicel roaming partner in the country you are visiting. In these cases, you will have to manually select the roaming partner. To manually select the roaming partner, scroll through the menu options in your phone until you find the ‘Network Selection’ option, select ‘Manual’, and then select the available Digicel roaming partner.

* The process for changing a network selection varies for each phone, so we recommend that you refer to your phone’s manual before you depart.

How do I access my voicemail while roaming?

To access the voicemail service while roaming, please dial +6768900555. You will then need to enter your mobile number and password. Please be advised that calls diverted to your voicemail while roaming are NOT free.

Is there a charge for accessing voicemail while roaming?

To avoid incurring charges for calls forwarded to voicemail, please cancel all diverts BEFORE leaving Tonga. To find out how to do this on your phone, please consult your phone’s manual.
